Yet another Day 7 status post
Hello again!
Remember how I said the main route was done? Yeah just kidding, it's now 70k+... I don't make the rules, the plot does as it pleases sometimes.
So, what else needs to happen?
I am working on a few more routes now - one is partly done, but there is a fair amount more that needs to happen. It is fair to say this is going to have a crazy word count at this rate, but I am okay with that as there is some serious plot that needs to happen here for the rest of the story.
After that, I need to find music (which takes longer than you might think).
Finally, bug testing needs to happen. It is already started for the main routes, but it will be especially important on some of the last routes I am writing as they have some little surprises and special technical stuff :)
The TLDR version is that Day 7 is not as done as I thought it was, but it is massive. I feel like I have been doing better with writing as I don't give myself a timeline and focus on flow and details - I do hope that shines through when it does come out.
Thank you again for your patience and kind words!
Aliens? More likely than you think.

I'm sure that it will be amazing when it's done. Just have fun with it.
take your time! also- if i may - how do you do bug testing
Sugarcube has a built-in debug mode, but frankly I hate it and only use it when I have a real problem. Most of what I do it manual, like when I go through and change one variable at a time and make sure everything loads in correctly. I have some trusted friends that I have shared part of the game with, and they play through it looking for issues. I also go through the twee file in visual studio code and look for any issues like if-statements that aren't closed and the like.
I hope that makes sense! I didn't spend nearly enough time checking Day 6 - hence the weird map issues on certain saves at first and even a few more little errors I will be fixing in the Day 7 release. My goal is for Day 7 to be as seamless as possible on launch!
ok!
Looking forward to the fruits of all your hard work! = )
